Seeraga Samba rice is one of the traditional rice varieties grown largely in Southern India. It gets its name from the Samba season - August through January, which are the months when this grain is grown. Of all the Samba Rice varieties, Seeraga Samba is the smallest grain; it is approximately one third the size of basmati rice. It is aromatic and has a distinct, sweet taste, which can be described as a ‘corn-like’ flavour. Seeraga Samba Rice is known for its high fibre content, which aids in digestion.
