Black Rice is a rare and old variety of rice, grown primarily in the northeastern & southern parts of India. It gets its deep colour from the high content of antioxidants and has a nuttier and stronger flavour compared to white rice. Compared to brown rice, Black rice has more protein. This easy-to-cook variety of rice is also a rich source of fibre, iron and vitamin making it a great substitute for other grains.
