Rudraksha, the most celebrated esoteric accessory of spiritual seekers has been used extensively since time immemorial. Botanically known as Elaeocarpus Ganitrus Roxb, Rudraksha are the dried seeds of a tree which grows in select locations of South-East Asia, predominantly in the upper Himalayan mountain range of the Indian subcontinent bordering Nepal. A few Rudraksha trees have also been sighted in parts of the Velliangiri Mountains, in the Western Ghats of South India.
The word Rudraksha literally means '€œtears of Shiva'.€ There are many legends in Indian scriptures and mythology that describe the divine origin of the Rudraksha tree. According to one legend, Shiva sat in meditation for many millennia with his eyes closed. Upon opening his eyes, he shed tears of ecstasy, which fell to the Earth and became the holy Rudraksha tree. Rudraksha beads were Shiva'€™s gift to the world.

Rudraksha offered by Isha Yoga Center are carefully selected and checked for their quality and authenticity. Additionally they all receive a special process of consecration by Sadhguru. Assisting the seeker in many ways, Rudraksha malas are potent aids for one'€™s physical, mental well-being and one'€™s spiritual sadhana (spiritual practice).

I felt very one sided and when I heard about the gaurishankar and what it is said to help I went for it and bought one. I have to say it has helped me to become not so much masculine and has helped me
to be more balanced. (Posted on 8/19/2013)
