According to the US National Library of Medicine website, keeping water in copper for up to 16 hours at room temperature can reduce bacterial, viral and incidence of many infectious diseases considerably. For more information please see here: Medical Study&nbsp According to many other studies, only about 25% of the US population is getting adequate copper each day in the diet. Copper is a powerful anti-oxidant, and is also required for proper absorption of iron. With continued mineral depletion and soil erosion, it is becoming more necessary to consider ways to adequately supplement our diets with this vital mineral.

Note: Copper does naturally oxidize and needs to be cleaned at regular intervals. Traditional methods of cleaning copper in India include rubbing the copper with a mixture of salt, tamarind paste and fresh lemon juice.

This copper water Jug holds 48oz of water. Allow your filtered or distilled water to remain in the jug overnight or at least 6 hours for best effects. In the morning, enjoy a daily dosage of energized water.

This water jug is made of copper inside and stainless steel outside.

In days of increasing consciousness about the quality of what we drink, what we eat, what we wear, the Isha Copper Jug is very helpful to protect your health. Not all countries could provide a clean water to people drink, so this copper water jug fits exactly in this point. With it, the medical properties of copper helps you cleaning the water inside it, detoxicating and killing the bacteria you'd been drinking without it. (Posted on 7/7/2014)

I think copper is going to start getting popular and replacing stainless steel containers. The way the water feels is amazing and it is so durable. It looks nice too on the dining table or kitchen counter and feels much more environmentally "integrated". Great value! (Posted on 11/22/2013)
